Nola Walter is an authorised civil marriage celebrant who has performed marriage ceremonies, vow renewals and commitment ceremonies all over Australia. She is passionate about offering an exceptional celebrant service - from her presentation and equipment to preparation and lodgement of paperwork to the words she speaks at your ceremony.
Nola's background is in the field of entertainment. She started singing in Perth at the ripe old age of 11 on a television show called “Stars Of The Future”. From there, she was contracted by Disney to work on the first Disney on Parade, touring Australia.
She then focussed mainly on singing and toured as lead singer in a theatre/cabaret show travelling to Malaysia, Japan, Thailand and Singapore. Arriving back to Australia, she sang at the very popular “Civic Theatre Restaurant” at the same time marrying and having two wonderful daughters who to this day still fill her with absolute pride and joy.
In the early 90’s, she opened a performance school and was asked to produce such events as the half time game entertainment for the West Coast Eagles and the Perth Wildcats, the Sandover Medal and Football Hall of fame. A decade of creativity and fun followed.
Her decision to become a Celebrant happened one day whilst watching a wedding when she thought "I would love to do that! How wonderful to be involved in one of the most important days in people's lives!"
Since the day she started, Nola truly feels it has been an honour and a privilege to marry couples and witness the start of their life’s journey together.
Nola has always been a 100% supporter of marriage equality.
